Anti-Bloat Lemon Blueberry Crunch Protein Bowl

bloat bowl

If you’re focusing on microbiome health, this Lemon-Ginger Protein Bowl is a simple way to support digestion without feeling bloated.

The base combines protein and live-culture Greek yogurt, a natural source of probiotics that help support a healthy gut microbiome. It’s topped with blueberries and crunchy edamame puffs, and finished with almond butter, fresh lemon zest and juice, freshly ground ginger, and a pinch of flaky sea salt.

Ginger has long been used to support digestion and ease bloating, and the lemon adds brightness and helps stimulate digestion. The combo of probiotics and adequate protein makes this the kind of breakfast that helps you feel less puffy and more balanced as the day goes on.

It comes together fast, keeps blood sugar steady, and is especially helpful on bloat-prone mornings, post-weekend resets, or anytime your stomach needs a gentler start.

My riff on the viral bloat bowl with an extra protein boost using edamame protein puffs instead of the classic rice crispy cereal. This bowl clocks in 45 grams of protein and is the perfect fiber-packed balance of carbs, fat, and fruit.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a cereal bowl, thaw the frozen berries in the microwave (or you may use frozen for a colder, thicker texture). Add the yogurt and protein powder and lemon juice. Stir well, then add 1–2 tablespoons of water or milk as needed to thin the mixture to a smooth, icing-like consistency.
  2. Drizzle or dollop the nut butter on top.
  3. Finish with lemon zest, fresh grated ginger, a drizzle of honey and flaky sea salt (if desired) and enjoy right away for the best crunch.

Notes

Prayer While You Prepare:

Lord, as I start this day, help me nourish my body well and trust You with everything ahead. Give me patience, energy, and a calm heart. Amen.
